Death and Dying

A dear friend of mine is dying of cancer. She has fought this cancer for almost two years. She has a rare form of lung cancer....she never smoked, her husband didn't smoke. Life is unfair...and so is death.

She is one of those women who make a difference. She is a wonderful writer. She was a journalist. Her favorite assignment was political reporter. She has flown on Air Force I, and interviewed well-known and never-to-be well-known politicians. She relates wonderful stories about her days as an active reporter. She also has written speeches and newsletters for various politicians.

She is sometimes abrasive. She doesn't suffer fools gladly...or at all. She usually has the last word in any argument because she won't give up and she has so many words to use.

It just doesn't seem right that in this last and most important battle, she cannot have the last word.

She will be sorely missed.

Received an email with the following quote down at the bottom...don't know who said it but I do like it....

SAVE OUR PLANET. IT IS THE ONLY ONE WITH CHOCOLATE!
