I think it is time for all of us who won't be getting a 700 billion dollar bailout from the government to start planning a bailout garden...If you are old enough, you might remember the "Victory Garden" of World War II and how even folks in big cities found small plots of land to garden.
Of course, this is the ultimate in the Eating Locally movement. Just think about next summer when you harvest your own luscious ripe tomatoes from your own plants...and the squash and basil and garlic and lettuce and....well, only your imagination and the size of your plot (and the climate and the water) limit the wonders you can enjoy. So let me know when you need to give away some zucchini....(and if you plant zucchini, you will have some to share). Enjoy.
