spring!

I  think I can safely say that spring has arrived...except we usually have an Easter cold spell.  However several signs of spring are here: the Hummingbirds are arriving (10 days later than last year), the mesquite trees are showing small signs of green,  my miniature daffodils are putting on their spring show, we have seen Texas Spiny Lizards and geckos,  fruit trees have finished blooming and are leafing out and my husband has begun planting the garden.  The poppies and the larkspurs have taken over several of the flower beds and are threatening the lawn.

So after wanting to be outside all winter, I now find myself overwhelmed by the work that needs to be done....but it may get done, maybe not.  I have found that the world doesn't end or even shudder when I don't do what needs to be done.  Most people don't notice (or are too nice to say anything) when the house isn't spotless or the yard/flower beds have weeds....

Well, only 5 years have passed since I last posted....but life does sometimes get complicated.  I am still in San Angelo, still doing all the stuff I was doing before and am still puzzled about the nation and its politics....I will try to post more frequently....and I do enjoy getting comments...
