Well, the house is back to normal....at least most things are back where they belong, although I still am finding Easter Eggs here and there. We hid them outside several times, then hid them inside many times. I am still finding confetti from the cascarones on the floor. Maybe tomorrow I will get the vacuuming done. After she (and her parents, who are also wonderful) left, it was mighty quiet here.
We had a great visit. A four and a half year-old girl has lots more energy than her almost 73 year old grandmother. We looked at some of the bluebonnets in the Mason area, drove on low water crossings where the water was over the dirt road...great adventure for a New York resident. And this New York resident spontaneously said "Yee Haw" when we went down and then up in a dip! Must be in the genes. On the way back to San Angelo, she was singing a little made up song... no real words just nonsense syllables. After a few minutes of this I recognized the tune...Ode to Joy....which is one of my favorites....and indeed the entire day had been an Ode to Joy.
